INDOOR PLANTS

Indoor plants are a great way to add that finishing touch to your space

FICUS LYRATA

The Fiddle Leaf Fig is an evergreen tree from tropical Africa growing to around 30m tall if planted in the ground. It has large glossy leaves and is best used indoors, requiring little maintenance.

SANSEVIERIA

The Mother-in-Laws Tongue (also known as snake plant) is a species primarily known for its slick sword like long leaves. This is a slow growing plants that anyone can grow because of its low and high sun light tolerance and ease of water.

RHAPIS PALM

The Rhapis or Lady Palm is a densely clustering, deep green fan palm, it grows to 3-4 metres, has a long life, and is slow growing. It grows best in partial shade and makes a great indoor plant.

SPATHIPHYLLUM SENSATION

Spathiphyllum 'Sensation' is the largest of the spathiphyllums, with this one bearing large glossy dark green leaves that grow in a layered manner and are distinctly ribbed. 
It is this lush foliage which makes it a great indoor plant, even when not in flower. 
When it is in flower, it will produce large white spathes that contrast beautifully to the dark, lush foliage.

DEVILS IVY

Known for its leafy good looks and air purifying qualities, Devil’s Ivy is a welcome indoor plant choice, and is low-maintenance, too. It has a trailing habit and arrow-shaped leaves with distinctive markings.

CALATHEA

Originally from Brazil this plant is a popular choice around the world for a house plant mainly because it makes a lovely addition to any home due to its beautiful foliage and bold markings.

ZANZIBAR GEM

This plant has a unique spiral structure and high gloss, deep green foliage that grows 60-90cm tall. It is resilient against drought, neglect, dry air, low light and bugs. The Zanzibar Gem also acts as a bio-filtration system that works to purify the air.

HAPPY PLANT

The Happy Plant is a Dracaena species native throughout tropical Africa. It is a very hardy plants with variegated leaves growing on a thick wooden trunk.

RHIPSALIS

The Rhipsalis genus comprises over 60 species native to South America. Most are epiphytic (live in trees). Many have hanging stems making them excellent hanging basket specimens. Most prefer shade and some humidity.

PARLOR PALM

This palm is a very popular houseplant with rich green, slightly arched and slender leaves. The Parlor Palm is an ideal match for tabletop decorations, and other small spaces inside a house. Some may also wish to grow these hardy plants in a shaded border, a courtyard, or the warmth and shade of a patio. Care for Parlor Palms is moderately easy. These plants require an evenly moist environment with moderate humidity.

STROMANTHE

This tropical plant will catch the eye with its exotic variegated foliage of cream, green and pink. It makes for a great house plant, or outdoors in a shaded position.

DRACAENA JANET CRAIG

The Janet Craig is one of the more widely seen Dracaenas in the home and interiorscapes. It has glossy, dark green leaves and requires little water and medium amounts of light.

DRACAENA DEREMENSIS

The Dracaena Deremensis is much the same as the Janet Craig, however it features dark green leaves variegated with white.

BAMBOO PALM

Formally known as Seifrizii, the Bamboo Palm is a relatively small graceful palm that grows to about 7 feet. This palm is mostly used indoors, however it does also like to be outside in the shade. It gets its name from its multi-stemmed growth habit, resembling that of bamboo.

CTENANTHE

The Ctenanthe Setosa 'Grey Star' is an excellent indoor plant that has silver/grey foliage with dark veins and a purple underside. It survives well outdoors protected from the sun.

RUBBER PLANT

The Burgundy Ficus, or Ficus Elastica, develops large leaves with a burgundy tint and a red midrib. It prefers to be in a well lit position and requires water only when very dry.

VARIEGATED RUBBER PLANT

The Ficus Elastica Verigata offers a more colourful alternative to the Burgundy Ficus. It has large oval leaves, which are thick, glossy and beautifully variegated. The leaf centers are pale green and dark green and the edges are creamy white. Newly emerging leaves are beautifully red hued.

DRACAENA MARGINATA

A very sculptural and easily grown indoor plant that can tolerate a number of conditions. For best results, place in a bright position protected from direct sunlight. Reduce watering from Autumn through Winter.
